My name is Zaid. Hello.
I was born in Aug 1992 so I’m a millennial. This means that I grew up without the torture of being plugged 24/7 into the Internet. I remember dial-up and MSN Messenger, and my first website was a list of my favourite bands, built on pure HTML & CSS.
I was born and grew up in Singapura, a sunny island set in the sea. It used to be Temasek and it used to be filled with kampungs, including the one my dad grew up in but I never got to see – the land is the same, but there is nothing left. Singapore is a city of constant change and in the next 60 years, I hope we ask ourselves:
- what would we like to change into?
- what must we protect from change?
- what needs to change even if we’re scared to?
I’m also an adopted son of Malaysia, although I did the adopting when I went over
